Interview with one of survivors, named Tsegay Arefaine, was broadcast on Tigrai Media House (TMH) on 19 May 2021. He says he and 7 other civilians were beaten and their hands tied behind their backs before they were thrown into the toilet on 23rd March 2021 where they spent three days. Tsegay says he lost his vision as a result of the atrocity he endured.
