Bangladeshi-owned textile firm DBL Industries looted, destroyed by Ethiopian gov’t forces, damage estimated at $12 million

DBL Industries, a textile factory in Quiha, owned by Bangledeshi investors, has been completely destroyed by Ethiopian government forces. The General Manger, citing a a preliminary study, said the damage is estimated at 12 million dollars. Besides to artillery shelling which damaged the factory, 34 of the factory’s 1150 sewing machines, parts for 330 machines, and 88 tons of cloths have been looted from the factory.
