According to the mayor of Adigrat city, Leake Tesfameskel, 126 unarmed civilians were massacred and at least 620 women were treated for sexual violence in the city. Hundreds of millions worth of public and private property were also destroyed and looted by invading Ethiopian and Eritrean forces.
