DEHUMANISING HATE SPEECH, MASS KILLINGS OF CIVILIANS, STARVATION CRIMES
Ethiopian officials have admitted to using a Biafra-like siege on Tigray to starve the people of Tigray out of existence. In a video broadcast on the state-owned Walta Television, Ethiopia refers to Tigrayans as the 'Northern Biafrans' and says their fate is no different to that of the Biafrans in Nigeria.
The former President of the Regional Government of Amhara, now current speaker of the Ethiopian House of Federation, Agegnehu Teshager, was among senior Ethiopian officials who called for a “siege on Tigray from all four sides to turn Tigray into Biafra.” An excerpt from the Report of the International Commission of Human Rights Experts on Ethiopia (A/HRC/51/46):
