Wukro Maray Massacre: Eritrean forces took civilians from their homes in Wukro Maray to the outskirts of the town and brutally executed them in Dec 2020

Witnesses say Eritrean forces tortured civilians from Wukro Maray, 15 km west of Axum, one of them in the helicopter position, and shot them dead. ‘Helicopter’ is a torture technique commonly used in Eritrea; the hands and the feet of victims are tied behind their back and they are made to lie on the ground, face down.
