Maikinetal Massacre: Ethiopian and Eritrean forces massacred over 150 civilians, burned down crops and houses in Maikinetal district

Eyewitnesses and family members say invading Ethiopian and Eritrean forces committed heinous atrocities in Maikinetal district, Central Tigray. The forces massacred more than 152 civilians in the district, burned down crops and houses of civilians. Tigrai TV

The soldiers said “we want to save our bullets” and bombed five people of whom were priests, a bride, and a bridegroom as well as elders. The soldiers did not allow us to bury the dead on time. Some of the bodies were eaten by hyenas and scavengers.
